Retail Sales Rep/Field Tech

At YourTel America, you are part of a team working toward a common goal of employee and customer satisfaction.

This position will operate in our St. Louis, MO market and reports directly to the Multi-Store Manager. This is a hybrid position of a Retail Sales Representative position and a Field Technician. The Technical position will average about 25% of the employee’s responsibilities and the Sales position will account for 75%. The person selected for this position will be responsible for selling products, customer service, and cash handling in our retail stores. They will also be responsible for delivering high levels of face to face customer service during new connections and repairs for current customers. The Tech portion will require someone who can work outdoors in the elements and has their own reliable transportation. The employee will be compensated mileage, provided tools and receive a differential for outside calls.

Responsiblilities

  • Sell YourTel America products, service plans and accessories to meet sales goals
  • Provide excellent customer service while building customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Provide effective and timely resolution of a range of customer inquiries
  • Process payments
  • Maintain respectful communication with both customers and coworkers
  • Communicate benefit and features of products, rate plans, and services to new and existing employees
  • Operate cash drawer disbursements, adjustments and credits according to policy with high moral principles
  • Support inventory counts and returns
  • Troubleshoot customer problems and fix the issue which may be a new phone jack, new inside wiring or coordinating with ATT to fix any outside problems
  • Install phone jacks on the inside of a customers home
  • Communicate with dispatch and repair departments to ensure complete customer satisfaction
  • Use a variety of hand-tools and follows guidelines to repair units
  • Identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair systems and products
  • Turn in all required paperwork and reports in a timely manner
  • Have the ability to provide technical support to customers
  • Have the ability to work unsupervised and hold self accountable for timely and accurate work
  • Attend continual training to be a leader in YourTel’s product, service and policy changes
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and apply flexibility in daily responsibilities
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • Experience with working in the elements (extreme heat and extreme cold)
  • Able to lift or push up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand and sit for long periods of time, able to kneel, bend, stoop, crawl, reach above head, and use hands for fine motor movements
  • Technical aptitude, previous telephone installation a plus
  • Able to speak Spanish and English fluently preferred
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • At least one (1) year of sales and customer service experience
  • Proficient cash handling skills, including cash drawer reconciliation
  • Basic PC programs and keyboard skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Flexible Hours being able to work during hours of operation Monday – Saturday
